Haha, I can’t say I’m too surprised Nakamura was called to be guest. Especially after the episode with Sugita back in May. 😄
For those who don’t know Nakamura Yuuichi (中村 悠一 — not to be mistaken with the actor with the same romanization 中村 優一), he is a seiyuu under the same firm as Nana-san, Sigma Seven. For those Mizuki Nana fans who watch every single anime she ever appears in, you will probably recognize Nakamura as Vice (from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS) and Tsukiyomi Ikuto (From Shugo Chara).
From the more recent hit anime, he is also Graham Aker (Gundam 00 — if you could consider that recent XD), Saotome Alto (Macross Frontier), Hodr (Break Blade) and… If you’ve already listened to World of M, Kousaka Kyousuke (Oreimo). The background music when Nakamura was making his “introduction” is the opening for Oreimo and the “character” he is speaking as is Kyousuke. Oreimo is a hilarious and overall very enjoyable anime for those of you who haven’t watched it yet.
Anyway, moving onto the actual broadcast… This is apparently Nakamura’s first time on an FM radio. His attempt to speak in an “FM voice” was immediately rejected by Nana-san. XDD;; More precisely, Nana-san described it as “気持ち悪い.” Hahaha. Right off the bat, we can tell they get along very well normally. 😄
The first time they met was on KIBA… Though they were together only for one episode. It was the roles they managed to obtain afterwards that brought them closer together… such as the father/daughter roles in Itazura na Kiss (and although not mentioned, sibling roles in Shugo Chara).
But of course, Sugita’s existence played no small role. Haha, considering how often “Nakamura” comes up between Sugita and Nana, it’s no surprise “Sugita” would come up between Nana and Nakamura. Nana remembers how the first time the 3 of them went to lunch together, Nakamura and Sugita spoke in what seemed to be coded language. Nana felt like she was interrupting them simply by being there and even thought, “Maybe I should go home…” 😄 Anyone who is familiar with Sugita can probably guess how that conversation sounded like for Nana to feel like that. XDD
What’s funny is that Nana points out how close Sugita and Nakamura seems, to the point where they are almost like lovers. XDD
Now moving onwards to the 7 questions corner where Nakamura asks his random questions.
1. I know you like cars. What was the impetus? When did you get your license?
Nana: My father also liked cars, so that’s how it started. Got my license in 2003.
Nakamura: I want you to say what age…
Nana: 23 years old!
2. Things you want people to check out in your hometown.
Nana: Please check out the Taiko Matsuri.
3. The number of addresses saved in your phone.
Nana: Uh… around 500.
Nakamura: Haa… O_O
Nana: What? Is that on the low side?
Nakamura: No… Thanks for answering.
4. The place you recommend going to the most right now.
5. A game you liked.
Nana: Ehhhh!? There are a lot! …DQ3
6. A way to sing better.
Nana: These questions are going downhill.
Nakamura: No no, this is the question where I really want the answer to.
Nana: Practice is the only way to go!
Nakamura: Of course…
7. What did you eat yesterday?
Nakamura is completely shocked with the 500 addresses. Normally, that is an insanely high amount. Nakamura says he doesn’t even think his manager has 500 addresses (but it turns out manager has 850 XD). Nana doesn’t think 500 is a lot at all, in which case Nakamura asks, “Do you ever delete people?” XDD
On a side note, Nakamura has around 200 to 300 addresses saved on his phone. He tried to confirm his own guess, but… he doesn’t know how to check. XDD Nana is surprised because Sugita said he is good with electronics… Yet he doesn’t know his phone well enough.
Speaking of Sugita, the corner following the song/music, is all about him. 😄 Nakamura reveals what Nana-san doesn’t know about him. Apparently, when Sugita talks to females, he… says things he has never (and probably will never) say in front of Nana (i.e. light dirty jokes XD). Nana finds it hard to imagine, because that doesn’t really fit her image of Sugita. 😄 She then starts wondering why he never says these stuff in front of her, and arrives at the conclusion that he must regard her as more of a mother than a cute, young girl. XDD
The conversation abruptly jumps to a new corner… The friendship corner where Nakamura reminisces a time when playing FFXI (online), he met a player (from overseas) who saved his character and tried her best to type to him through romanized japanese. Nakamura, on the other hand, typed in english as much as he could.
Then, following that is the voice acting corner; acting out a situation when they are being bitten by a mosquito.
That brings us to a close to the week’s World of M. And to explain the sudden jump between corners… When Nana began concluding with “the last 30 minutes passed by really quickly,” Nakamura cut in with, “We spoke for more than 30 minutes.” In other words? Large portions of their conversations were cut. XDD
It’s a bit of a shame because I am curious to know what else they talked about, but time limitations can’t be helped…
