I teared up in the final sentence of that news article. The final quote quoted was taken from the end of the autobiography itself:
“「いつか自分のために書き下ろされた演歌を歌いたい」という夢を果たした時、初めて「父と見た長い夢が形になる。長い長い父とのレッスンが終わる」と締めくくっている。”

She already wrote an autobiography? Although it does seem to be more common for young people, who still have a life ahead of them, to write an autobiography (or have a biography written about them).

The whole autobiography thing is taking advantage of her current popularity. While it may seem “early” now is the best time to “sell” it.
Years from now, when her popularity declines, less people will buy her autobiography… There’s no way they’d give up a chance to maximize profit. 😛

Everyone has ups and downs in their lives… But yes, being a fan and hearing all these things that happened to her, it is heart-wrenching. ;_;
Despite her tiny size, she is a woman with big voice and big heart, very strong person. I admire her more after I read it. I’m sure the late dad and the rest of her family are very proud of her.

So, that Smile Gang episode wasn’t just a joke. It’s hilarious but when I remembered her words in Shin Ai I feel sad at the same time.
